Your information
Privacy notice.
Last updated November 7, 2026
You share details about a home and an important decision. We use that information to handle your inspection request, coordinate an appointment, and provide the service.
Information you provide
Our booking and quote forms collect your name, email address, phone number, property address, county, approximate square footage, property type, inspection needs, and any notes you choose to provide. Optional details include your role, the requested report-needed date, year built, pool/spa and additional-dwelling information, an authorized access contact’s name and phone number, and how you heard about us or a referring agent’s name. If you book an appointment, we also retain the appointment date, booking reference, payment status, the payment processor’s transaction identifiers, and the version and acceptance time of the service and cancellation terms.
Please keep sensitive information such as card details, gate codes, identity documents, and account passwords out of the notes field.
How the information is used
- Reviewing the property and inspection scope.
- Coordinating access, responding to your questions, and communicating about an appointment.
- Managing quotes, reservations, payment confirmation, and service records.
- Understanding referral sources and following up on your service request.
- Maintaining website security, preventing duplicate bookings, and limiting misuse of the forms.
Submitting the form gives us permission to contact you about that request. It does not enroll you or an access contact in a marketing mailing list. Provide another person’s contact information only with their permission to coordinate this inspection. Listing an access contact or referring agent does not authorize sending them the inspection report.
Payments
For a paid booking, card information is entered on Stripe’s hosted checkout page. Our booking form does not collect or store your full card number or security code. Stripe handles payment data under its own privacy notice. We receive the information needed to confirm the payment and connect it to your booking.
Website storage and security
The website uses a session cookie to protect form submissions and connect a payment confirmation to the browser that started the booking. Your booking draft may also be kept in that browser tab’s session storage so you can return from checkout without entering everything again. A stored draft expires after one hour without an update and is removed after a confirmed booking or submitted quote request. Closing the tab normally clears its session storage.
Operational records may include security and error logs used to maintain the site. This version of the website does not include advertising pixels or third-party analytics scripts.
Inspection records and reports
When the private reporting workspace is enabled, the inspector can record client and property details, inspection conditions, scope, observations, findings, recommendations, and photographs. These records are used to prepare and deliver your inspection report. Original uploaded photo files are processed to remove embedded camera metadata before the resulting images are stored privately.
Client reports contain the reviewed information and photographs in a published version. Internal working notes are excluded. A report link grants access to anyone who has that link until it expires or is revoked, so keep the link private. Copies that a recipient has already downloaded or printed cannot be recalled by revoking a link.
The inspector’s mobile app prepares photo copies in the open page before uploading. Waiting photos and unsaved notes are not stored as persistent offline records. Its offline cache contains only a generic reconnect screen. Report drafts are saved to private server storage after a successful save. Unsaved editor changes stay in the open page and are not retained as a persistent browser copy. Inspection records and report versions may be retained for service, business, and applicable recordkeeping needs.
Agreements and private job records
The private owner workspace can retain the inspection agreement signed separately by the client, including its PDF, document reference or version, signer name, signature date, and the property, appointment, scope, and price reviewed with that agreement. The workspace records the owner’s review; it does not independently verify a signer’s identity or capture the client’s signature on the inspection agreement.
Private job records can include access arrangements, preparation and readiness notes, requested report dates, client-authorized report recipients, communication and report-delivery records, follow-up notes, and time or direct costs associated with the job. These records support service administration, delivery, and recordkeeping. Signed agreements and private job notes are restricted to the owner workspace and are not automatically included in a shared inspection report or the public fictional sample.
Service providers and disclosure
Hosting, payment, and configured communication providers process information needed to operate the service. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or as necessary to address fraud, misuse, or a dispute. We do not sell the information submitted through this website.
Keeping and correcting records
Inspection requests and transaction records are kept for service administration, accounting, and any applicable recordkeeping obligations. You can ask us to correct information or request deletion of information that does not need to be retained for an outstanding service, transaction, or legal obligation.
Changes to this notice
Updates to this notice will be posted on this page with a revised date. Material changes to how existing client information is used or shared will be highlighted here before they apply. When an additional notice or permission is required, we will provide it or obtain it before applying the change. An updated notice alone does not authorize a new report recipient or change a signed inspection agreement.
Contact about privacy
Email us to ask about this notice, correct your information, or make a privacy request. Please describe the request without including unnecessary sensitive information.
Quote requests send your property and contact details for review without taking payment or reserving an appointment. Standard bookings and accepted individual quotes use Stripe checkout; appointments are confirmed after payment verification.
